A Carved Faith

I’ve added two new pieces to my shop: A Carved Faith.

While visiting Mesilla, New Mexico, we happened to walk into a shop that primarily deals in religious goods and art. These wooden, carved statues were sitting atop a shelf, off to the side of one of the shops’ rooms. I decided to capture the image.

The Saint, holding the Saint, holding the baby who is bereft of hands, speaks volumes to me. It details the fact that we are all helpless at times and must depend on others. I sue; however, that is not the meaning of the statue; it’s only my interpretation.

Should you decided to buy a digital copy of this image, you will also receive a copy that I have edited to look like a painting – you can see both below the link to the shop.

Your purchase will go to support getting oxygen tanks and oxygen concentrators to India. India is fighting a COVID strain that is laying waste to a beautiful country. Additionally, you will also receive a tax write off for the purchase of this, or any piece, from my shop. This is due to the generosity of a local religious organization in El Paso, Texas.

If you have purchased a copy, printed or digital, please email me a copy of your receipt to steven@zipitzimmerman.com and I will arrange for you to receive a tax recipt.
